WELLINGTON CLINICS ADOPTS THE CONSUMER PROTECTION COUNCIL’S PATIENTS’ BILL OF RIGHTS

The Director General of the Consumer Protection Council, Barr. Babatunde Irukera officiated the domestication of the Patients’ Bill of Rights (PBoR) on 24th September, 2018 at our hospital.

The PBoR is geared towards the protection of consumers and ensuring quality healthcare service delivery. The Wellington Clinics Abuja prides itself on being among the pioneer hospitals to adopt PBoR. By embracing this bill, we hereby reassure the general public of our renewed and strengthened resolve to provide only excellent medical care to all.

The quality of patient care is essentially determined by the quality of infrastructure, quality of training, competence of personnel and efficiency of operational systems. The fundamental requirement is the adoption of a system that is ‘patient-oriented'.

At the Wellington, we believe that the patient is the centre of the universe and deserves only the best medical care. We have made sure to deliver on this by (1.) Recurrent medical training of our staff and (2.) Putting key structures and initiatives in place to enable us function efficiently and effectively, in accordance with international best practices.
